Reeves: “This grassroots campaign is about fighting for progressive action that will always put working people first”
Kristine Reeves continues to build momentum in her campaign for Washington’s 10th Congressional District, as she received the endorsement of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. Across North America, LiUNA represents a half-million workers who build our bridges, keep our transit systems moving, deliver our mail, and provide other critical essential services.
On the endorsement, Kristine, who comes from a proud union family as a former WFSE member herself, and her husband a member of ALPA and former Teamster, said, “I’m honored to earn the support of the Laborers — the hard-working men and women in LiUNA. We’re a proud union family and know firsthand just how critical the hard-earned wages and benefits our unions fight for on behalf of workers are. In tough times like these, our fight to make sure every family has a living wage, fair benefits, and greater opportunity is more critical than ever. Too often in Washington, DC, working families are drowned out by corporate special interests. It’s why this grassroots campaign is about fighting for progressive action that will always put working people first.”
Nathe Lawver, Political Director of Local 252 (Tacoma) said, “We need leaders in Washington, DC like Kristine who will go to bat for hard working families and stand up to special interests. Kristine has always stood with us, and LiUNA is proud to put our power with Kristine’s campaign for Congress.”
Reeves, who outraised the field in her first quarter in the race, has picked up dozens of endorsements from diverse and progressive leaders across Washington including Congressman Adam Smith, all the members of the Washington State Legislature’s Black Members Caucus, and other high-profile state and community leaders.
